Cloverleaf Partnership
Cloverleaf, one of the originators in the integration engine market, is an ideal partner for this initiative.
How this partnership could work:
We build and deliver the “gulp” utility, which might function like this:
> gulp.com --find cloverleaf --password jJdSkjwkj23jk45
Finding....
Located: C:\\\\PROGRAM FILES\\\\INFOR CLOVERLEAF\\\\
Securing....
Secured: Package C:\\\\PROGRAM FILES\\\\CLOVERLEAF.com
>
Core Mechanism:
After installation, the “gulp” utility locks down Cloverleaf instances, allowing only maintained, up-to-date systems to remain in operation. Infor can then securely roll out this utility to all its customers, including legacy environments where customers may have allowed their maintenance to lapse.
Topline Revenue Growth:
With “gulp” enforcing regular software updates and maintenance, customers are compelled to stay current on their maintenance contracts. This results directly in increased recurring revenue:
- Expired maintenance contracts are now renewed so clients can keep their Cloverleaf systems running.
- Unmaintained instances are brought under active support, expanding the addressable customer base.
- Legacy users are incentivized to modernize, driving more predictable and reliable cash flow.
Operational Cost (Bottom Line) Reductions:
At the same time, the utility enables Infor to automate and dramatically simplify customer management:
- Automated software compliance reduces time and cost spent chasing overdue accounts or defending against security incidents from unpatched systems.
- Streamlined billing: If maintenance lapses, access to the software can be paused until reinstatement—cutting down on collections, exceptions, and manual intervention.
- Reduced liability from exposed, unsupported installations further lowers risk and downstream costs.
Result: Higher Profitability
By using the "gulp" utility to both secure the software and enforce ongoing maintenance, Infor increases top line revenue and reduces back-office costs. The delta—operating profit—increases significantly.
In Short:
The introduction of “gulp” not only makes Cloverleaf safer and more robust for everyone, but directly fuels growth in revenue while pushing down operational costs—combining both levers to drive a step-change in profitability for the business unit.
Additional Outcome:
Once all legitimate users are upgraded, “gulp” can be deployed more broadly to retire or isolate any lingering, unsecured installs—further safeguarding the ecosystem and setting a new standard for software responsibility in healthcare integration.
We're still early in the planning stages and open to a variety of commercial models to fund this investment.
