Eliot is an Individual, Not an Accounting Department

If you require a lot of custom paperwork to be filled out, Eliot will simply ask you to stop using his products. Instead, you might consider using inferior products, but be aware that there will likely be significant risks associated with this.

Alternatively, you could hire an independent person to complete your forms, but in practice, this may prove difficult to arrange.

Some Customers Prefer Working with Larger Organizations

Eliot understands that many organizations are drawn to the idea that working with a company means getting more reliable products. Unfortunately, this is often just an illusion.

At first, Eliot's customers were a little alarmed when he made the rational choice to eliminate all of his staff, choosing instead to work solely with loosely affiliated contractors and partners.

However, after seriously evaluating all the competing options—and finding them much harder to use, less reliable, and much slower—customers soon realized there wasn’t much choice but to do business with Eliot.

In the end, it made a lot of sense. Eliot is a very talented engineer with a pleasant sense of humor, remarkable creativity, and the ability to produce products that simply work. The overall quality greatly improved once Eliot stopped stressing over employee management and focused solely on making his users happy.

This turned out to be an excellent decision. Although he invested some effort up front to simplify the contracting and accounts receivable processes, everything worked out extremely well.
