Is common—many people neglect broader circumstances and motivations when judging behavior. Often, actions that seem erratic or negative have rational explanations when seen in context.

For instance my ex staff and customers had no idea how cleverly I manipulated the outcomes that I wanted.

I wanted my customers to get serious about security and I was most devious about it. I surprised myself with my capacity for ingenuity in trying things put until I figured out what would work.
